Yes, we saw Kaidou withstand Oden's strongest attack and get up seconds later and knock him out.

It's very strange that you tell me that kaidou was defeated by Oden when seconds later he is hitting Oden's head, didn't Oden knock him out or something?
Kaido didn't even use his combined and ultimate form
And even Oden tells Kaido to get stronger
In other words, Kaido was much stronger than when he fought Oden
People don't understand how the plot works
Oden single-handedly stopped Roger's crew for 3 days:kobeha:

While Oden was distracted by a hostage situation and Kaido was bandaged from Odens attack for weeks and still suffers PTSD from the attack lmao

All this against the #4 Roger Pirate
How did Oden defeat Kaidou if Kaidou was seconds later beating him and knocking him out?

Let's establish the facts here:

Oden: He struck Kaidou with a blow.

Kaidou: He fell but was neither defeated nor knocked out.

Oden: He turned his face away for a second.

Kaidou: He knocked out Oden with a casual blow.

What could have happened between Oden and Kaidou if Oden hadn't been distracted doesn't EXIST; it's all conjecture.

Could Oden have defeated Kaidou there? Conjecture: Kaidou could have blocked in time, just as he quickly got up when Oden was distracted for seconds and knocked him out. So, there is NO such thing as a victory for Oden over Kaidou; there are only hypotheses.
All this against the #4 Roger
:milaugh::milaugh::milaugh:

That's why Oden is in the top 5 of kaidou along with Roger and Gaban no.

Stop this nonsense, man.

Oden is directly compared to Roger. He's not a Roger Pirate, and he's not even drawn alongside the Roger Pirates in the most recent things he's been.

Lying to yourself and saying that Oden is number four of the Roger Pirates when he was loaned to you by Whitebeard is insane, and ignoring Kaidou's statements about him is simply bizarre. You've completely lost your mind. Die on this hill lying to yourself. LMAO

the amount of mental gymnastics needed to still use Kaido's top as a legit powerscaling argument after this flashback
Wdym? It's all so simple, really. Let me clear your mind. :Kaku_Smirk:

See this ominous thin af black stick that Waido courageously confronted?

Now, let's get back to the chapter that continues to break the minds of so many copers and deniers. See this?

The "they" was obviously referring to the silhouettes of Wimu that surround the text itself, Waido's wisdom was literally radiating outwards and visualizing itself on the page! :pepegg:

Xebec, Shanks, Oden, etc were just aesthetic set dressing meant to fool the first-time readers and Waido haters. :Fruit_Merchant:

Goda foreshadowing is simply on a different level. :steef:

Oden didn’t defeat Kaido, but Kaido didn’t beat Oden either since Kaido had people help him lmao

According to who?

the manga states that he fought Roger to a draw and had the largest pirate crew at the time.
Having the biggest crew is not a big deal
The Rocks crew is always presented as the strongest crew
That fight had no story significance unless you think Roger, Ray, and Gaban can't beat the fourth member of Rocks crew
There's a reason Shiki respected Roger to the death. In the pirate world, power brings you respect.
