The man's 50 now but he's acting like he's 70. Like most mangaka, he does not take good care of his health or even sleep right. Japanese work culture and his own ridiculous stubbornness are proving to be his undoing. He's already been suffering from vision problems since before Egghead which he needed to go on a lengthy hiatus for due to undergo surgery.
The man is already forgetting more and more at only 50, and even in SBS it shows that he's losing his mojo as he outright admitted that reusing old designs is becoming easier than coming up with new ones. That and the increasing retcons show that he really needs to get serious about finding some trustworthy assistants and an apprentice who can do the work for him while he just focuses on writing and supervision, instead of being surrounded by useless editors who cry over rough-looking raid panels and don't have the balls to correct him instead of waiting until the volume release to fix shit.
