I keep pointing this out, but since giants age much slower than humans Harald has effectively not aged the entire flashback.

Yet he's been more or less equal to Xebec at every encounter.

Which in turn implies Xebec's power hasn't actually changed that much.

I find it weird to think xebec and Harald grew at equal rates despite both being in their prime age and doing two vastly different things, one of them not even fighting anymore.

Feels like oda just didn’t think about growth and wrote xebec at the same level throughout the flashback.

Oda just really wanted to hammer home that these two are and will remain equal. I find it easier to reconcile then Xebec not having gotten stronger in 18 years.
