Two scenarios I can think of.

Scenario 1 - Davy jones was earth god and king of the first world. Imu(Forest God) was lesser god. Nika fought davy jones and the world plunged to darkness.

In second world davy jones's descendents establish ancient Kingdom. Imu with other monarchies overthrow ancient Kingdom and becomes king of the world. Joyboy was a descendant of davy jones and went into pirating and formed a group to overthrow imu but failed.

Scenario 2 - Davy jones/BB are dark destroyer variant of nika. Imu in this scenario is both earth god and forest god and recurring evil. It takes both variants of nika to beat imu hence xebec mentioned 2 DFs which were needed to overthrow WG.

It's why i don't like when people use age to say someone in there prime cause for Oda age not the main factor that.

Robin is 30 here older than BM on Gv would anyone say Robin in her prime when we know he get even stronger later .

But Davy isn't One of 20 Founders, then where does He fit?

People need to understand that for those Kings to stand out from all other World Rulers, it means They had a Unique Quality,
But nothing says that those who were fit to create WG were only 20,

In Drum Island Arc, Wapol's 20 Doctors are like Mini-Version of those OG Kings, but were They only Doctors? No, there were Two More,
Hiriluk can be described as The Most Inspirational Doctor & Drum Kingdom's Version of Joy Boy, but who was Best Doctor on that Island? Kureha

This means, Joy Boy might have been Main Inspirational Figure of Ancient Kingdom, but it was his Friend/Rival (Someone He would drink with similar to Xebec/Harald & Noland/Calgara & Roger/WB & Shanks/Mihawk ... etc) who was seen as Best in that Kingdom, and entire World,

So if those 20 Kings were fit & worthy of founding WG without anyone complaining about it, what does that make of this Joy Boy Friend who is Superior than them? It means He is more Fit to Rule based on their Criteria & He doesn't have to share his Authority with them, He would directly sit on Empty Throne,

Xebec & Blackbeard simply believe that it's Davy Family who were supposed to Inherit The World after Void Century,
However, Family alone isn't enough to Claim Throne, because Davy never went to Mary Geoise, instead it was his Power that made him the only Candidate to Rule WG, this is why I believe that Davy Jones is still Alive, Xebec & BB are just preparing for his Arrival,

Davy Jones is indeed Rightful Ruler of WG, and He formed a Duo with Joy Boy, and Imu's Question from Previous Chapter suggests that Jones might still be Alive, and Xebec was truly only preparing for him,

But the one who truly deserves to Rule WG isn't Joy Boy's Successor or Davy's Successor (Ancient Kingdom's Version of Hiriluk/Kureha),
It's instead Successor of whoever was their Chopper, someone who was Inspired by Both (Similar to Koby in Romance Dawn Saga being Inspired by both Luffy & Zoro, or Momonosuke having similar Role),

It's suggested that Joy Boy was a Giant or lived among them, so it makes sense that their Chopper was a "Monstrous Giant", similar to how Chopper was a "Monstrous Human", and that's obviously OG Ancient Giant imo,

Meaning the one who should Inherit The World have Ancient Giant Blood. and everything points to Loki.
True Imu Replacement should be neither Luffy nor Blackbeard, it's Loki, that is his Purpose.

I´m just being objective. Kaido is an oni and eastern Dragon and was the main villain of a four year arc. Xebec is just Teach but skinnier, and he isn´t even the only Teach clone, since we now have Davy Jones, who is obviously going to be a bigger deal anyway. And obviously the guy with an ancient weapon is more important then the guy without one
