Chopper cared more that they were being poisoned, not that Caesar was using kids. Nami was that voice of reason and she is again in the seraphim as she constantly treats them like children.

I mean a pretty notable part of Egghead is that the Seraphim’s have their own souls and personality and that even a soul less machine is still an individual.
And VP wasn’t treated like a good guy, he was treated morally grey at best as he was directly responsible for literally everything that occurred in that arc. He was just a nice person, but not a good one. And even he still sees them as children. And not robots

Original demon, Nika and maybe an other individual? The first world one.
Shanks and Teach were meant to be the new Joyboy and Jones, Roger and Rocks were anomalies who got close but weren't destinated to be them.
Shanks tho, unlike Roger who followed destiny, decided to pass down that role to Luffy.
Luffy is an other Roger, an actual anompy, not a predestined individual but unlike Roger he will succeed even though Shanks was meant to become Nika.
That's my theory.
