Loved the chapter, didn’t like the fact that Rocks didn’t kill his woman in front of Teach. Then he would truly would have had a reason to cry and to beg for death, this way his crying falls flat, as well as Teach’s childhood so far.
I guess his crying comes from the sheer embarrassment of not being able to stop himself from attacking his own family, he risked his life for them and now he swung his sword at them.

The pace of this flashback is way too slow and the content way too boring to actually be an entertaining read. It is not even more interesting than what is happening on Elbaf. Still, this was a good chapter (good for a chapter without Sanji or the strawhats). Hopefully Rocks drops dead and we go on with the actual Elbaf flashback.

It will never end at this rate :mihugh:

I'm really enjoying Dragon's storyline. This is what young Koby should have been: a good hearted loser

Imu got this man crying lmao.

What happened to all that shit Rocks was spitting at the Flower Room in Holy Land?
He's crying because his friend's country is in danger and also he's frustrated for not being able to get his plan ready, knowing that IMU is going to put Elbaph in danger anyway. He must feel that he should have been able to convince Harald, knowing that Harald will follow next must have felt horrible

He came to save his family even though he knew he was unprepared, Imu talks like he's some unstoppable being, but if that's the case, why not let Xebec finish his plan and then confront him?

It could have been better, yes, but I suppose Eris dying Is going to be more about Teach then.
I was actually surprised that Eris survived, was expecting the generic route of Xebec killing her, but then somehow stopping himself from killing Teach.

I wonder if Eris told Teach what Xebec's plan was.

Pretty good chapter.

I don't think WB role is done yet. He had a really good clash. But I think he is too close to Rox for him to participate in the merciful execution Roger and Garp are about to perfom.

Overall I like how the arc has played out. There wasn't any major betrayal among the big names that matter. The Ganzui and coptain John and Shiki stuff are footnotes as well as Kaido and Bm beef. Oda has done a clean arc where everyone comes out looking good.

Yeah it like Parasite but i like it way more because it just add so much more .
Parasite could not do shit to G4 luffy or anyone that strong in any sense .
Parasite worked on people of a certain level. There was nothing wrong with it. He never used it on Whitebeard or Sengoku.

DR is taking the power system established for 1200 chapters, and taking a hot steamy dump on it, while saying "don't worry we'll explain later. just go with it"

BB took a shit on the power system by eating 2 DF which impossible and we not get it explain up to now .
We going on 15 plus years without having any idea how BB is the only person who can do that in whole world\series.
So yes i have no issues with Oda taking a while to explain DR.
Which most likley some DF Hax skill that just get introduce in this same arc less than 20 chapters ago .
Also the only reason someone think this break the power system is they think rocks so strong that hax skill should not work on him.
When we had other hax shit work on other characters during the whole series like how the hobi hobi no mi would work on luffy and law even with them being so muh stronger than sugar .
So the possible FV Imu having shit that broken should be expect just like how BB who could be the FV has something that broke power system also .

It is, it’s considerably weakened character development because the character didn’t do anything horrible yet.

Showing WHY a character is sad > the character saying they’re sad. Obviously one makes you feel stronger empathy, you can guess which one hopefully.
Totally. Especially with a character like Rocks whose focus is strength and power. Having his autonomy hijacked to harm people he loves is a greater tragedy than just having his power removed.
