Or wondering if they are obstacle in rocks way ,
Its like he is asking rocks are we giving you trouble or something like that.

So that's why I really hope its not the end with meme, kaidou , and wb with rocks , at least they have to know that rocks is not the one they know .
Maybe he can tell them and apologies like he did how he contacted roger and garp , or luffy with law crew.


This shouldn't be the last thing they remember about
Especially since they are his crew and he spent decade with wb at least

But yes it's sad. WB, BM and Kaido all died believing Rocks betrayed them.
BM especially experienced multiple betrayals in her life, from her parents abandoning her to Mother Carmel and the kids 'disappearing' without a trace. Linlin lives in her 'if something went wrong' timeline.

honestly it's dissapointing he took care of them so quickly, I get Oda wanted to move on but he should've at least offscreened the rest of battle. Have Rocks brutalized the future Yonko so much it makes sense they hate him and rather not speak of him

The viz scans are even more damming. Yeah all the 3 yonkos feel betrayed by him at that moment. Carrying that feeling till the rest of their lives.

That's why they don't talk about him at all.

I don't think he will relay any message to them personally. The don't talk about their time in rocks pirates much if at all and still carry the sense of betrayal at their hearts. Heck that day most probably shaped their future lives and career going forward.

I think it makes sense that there last memory of their captain is that of betrayal. It adds an added extra layer of tragedy to the whole God valley incident and to the life story of rocks.

He has not only been forgotten but also erased from the memory and the world. Betrayed by the only person he considered his friend, his country invaded and destroyed, having to kill his family who have been demonified, himself becoming a slave of the very thing he swore to topple, attacking his crew and then attacking his wife and child and probably thinking he murdered them at the end.

As we know one of the golden threads of one piece is "a man truly dies when he is forgotten".
In a way xebec died thrice. Once when imu took over his body, second when he was physically killed and third when he was completely forgotten by everyone.

Whatever left behind was a husk of propaganda when no one cared enough to verify the truth.

As he mentioned to Harald during their last conversation - destiny was against him. That fate was dragging him to his doom and he could do nothing about it.

He is a classic tragic hero.

Roger became PK, knew about history. Knew about Void Century and also knew about imu and it's powers most likely.

If Roger told him about One Piece, no way they didn't talk about Xebec. On top of that, Whitebeard has respect towards roger. Maybe because he actually helped his Former captain by killing him.

Yes, it does seems they still think Xebec getting 3 times bigger with fangs and wings is the same Xebec they used to know.
They all legit think Xebec betrays them i suppose.

Maybe Kaido words "Pirates will betray you" also comes from this.......
WB words to Xebec also sounds like he really sees him as respected friend/comrade.

But I'm sure WB will find out all what's happening later in his life, Kaido and BM tho probably not.

I mean Oda had to somehow justify why none of the rocks pirates talk much about him apart from in passing terms. He couldn't just say it was all bad because some of them stuck around for 10 plus years and he showed xebec not really forcing anyone to stick with him.

This is the route he chose to justify the why lol. Thematically it makes sense(knowing rocks's story is all tragedy) but other characters needed to be dumbed down for this to happen.
