Nah it's not. It's up there with these two. Suwabe is my personal goat, but I can't deny Shamrock's VA. He put in work in JJK with Nanami, more than Suwabe did with Sukuna honestly.

Yea if you watched more than 5 anime in your life, it's bound to happen. It's the same voice actors who keep playing major roles.

That is Bellamy the Hyena. He plays like every thuglike character that ever existed. Actually fitting for Obito somehow.

The one good thing about Naruto is, it is canon that ninja can mimick other voices, I knew this would be used to studio pierriot's advantage when the Obito reveal was made, and he wasn't Madara. I always knew his original voice was meant for Madara Uchiha, but SP didn't know Tobi wasn't Madara at that time. That underdog scruffy scrublike voice is a lot more fitting for Obito.

Unfortunately for Toei they don't have this excuse, so when you rewatch the anime scene with Shamrock meeting the Gorosei, it has Shanks' voice

I always thought Ichiji having Sasuke's Voice Actor was a terrible choice, that voice should have gone to Yonji, and Yonji's voice should have been Ichiji's. He sounded like a teen compared to the other brothers and he was supposedly the oldest and strongest.

The notion of "oldest" is meaningless in this context. They were born the same day, so Ichiji sounding older wouldn't have made more sense than the opposite.

Niji had the best voice imo.

He does have a nasally voice, it gives off the vibe of someone who looks down on everyone else, or someone who hasn't slept well in years, no in between. It's badass though...the kinda voice that can turn you into a fan of the character.

He's half the reason Gaolang is my fave character from Kengan Ashura.

You ain't wrong, Overhaul from My Hero Academia was pretty much the type of character you've described and it suited him perfectly, however might be just me, but I thought Shamrock would sound older and more like a aristocrat - like his voice would have a softer but still arrogant and condescending tone (like Griffith from Berserk, but with a deeper voice maybe)

Anyways now that Shamrock has a voice with that much aura I'm expecting him to perform.

Ultimately it's not that much of a big deal given the Japanese voice acting just being top notch in general- so it's easier to get used to a voice.

Man they need to wrap up One Piece already before something happens to Akainu's VA. Imagine taking any other voice actor seriously in this role? This man really sounds like he has burning coals in his throat.

I just saw someone post a clip of Doffy from the latest ep and his performance wasn't up to par, it's been so long he probably forgot what Doffy was supposed to sound like.
