We don't need an entire flashback for that. We know where he is from already. He is from Loguetown, we literally learned that in the arc itself that Roger was born there. We know that apparently Roger had a childhood just like Ace's as Garp says this during the ASL Flashback.
He then eventually met Rayleigh and became a pirate. We know that Roger was basically someone who wanted to see the entire world and discover everything via the Oden Flashback. We even learned there as to HOW Roger even knew Laugh Tale was a thing. They got to Lodestar via the log posts and when they got there, the log posts went haywire and refused to show another destination which let them know there was probably one more island.
Then the God Valley stuff happened which is what we are now seeing and we saw at the start of this flashback that Roger was kind of just vibing around on the seas. He and Garp beat Xebec and they all leave. We know via the Volume 4 billion little bonus chapter that immediately after they left God Valley, they were all happy with the loot they stole and then when they checked what they had they realized that Shanks was in one of the chests.
After the God Valley Incident he probably doesn't do anything else besides trying to get more information about where this final island might be and then he got sick which was when they met Crocus. We know he started looking at the Poneglyphs and we know how he found them since he basically makes it clear tracking them is easy because he has the Voice of All Things. He also states during the Oden flashback that there were ALREADY stories about this final island and that the government was telling people not find it, which was why he was even more interested in finding it and it is probably these stories where he learned that the Road Poneglyphs were a map to begin with since we know he couldn't read them himself. Then he meets Oden and with his help, he finds the final island and names it, "Laugh Tale". The Edd War happens a bit after that, the Roger pirates disband a bit after that, Roger gets with Rogue, he turns himself in after seeing Rayleigh one last time, he tells everyone about the One Piece being a thing while on the platform, and he is executed.
What more do we even need to know about Roger that requires a whole flashback? We basically know all of the main beats of his life via other flashbacks and things told to us. An entire Roger flashback just seems useless now. How would it even be structured considering everything Roger has done was either shown or told to us?
The only thing we really don't know is honestly how the Roger Pirates found Buggy and even that will be explained at some point since Buggy is bound to have a flashback about meeting Roger and Shanks for the first time.
