Yeah DR strengthens your body by sacrificing your life force. It’s basically what Big Mom did to herself without the immortality. I feel like if haki was strengthened there’d be a comment about it rather than just the physical boost which is mentioned by Brogy and Imu

As soon as Rocks get DR he start using more haki then before.
You don't need to comment when man was throwing off more haki in DR mode compare to when he was not .
Just tossing kaido into mountain all sudden the man was using CoC but cutting Imu etc etc etc we not seeing any coc .
So it's either DR boost haki or make you use it up because haki can effect your life force.

DR Xebec was serious in trying to kill the Davy clan so he wasn’t holding back in throwing the three away.

DR Xebec got a solid physical boost but his haki was the same as it’s always been

Time skip has some good design but Oda love his wacky shit so since time skip has way more character the ratios much more to wacky \weird looking .
