PIS mate, been plaguing this manga since WCI. Everyone becomes dumber for the sake of the plot. Dont expect further arcs to be any different.

I mean, the explosion of an incomplete Juubi's Bijuudama was so large you could see the curvature of the planet. A Juubi Jinchuriki can fire multiple bigger ones while creating defenses and barriers capable of withstanding it. The Ootsutsuki bloodline is definitely above anything in One Piece so far.

Surface damage, it wasn't able to nuke a country of the map.

BUT yeah shooting multiple times it at once is a pretty good feat. A normal bijuu dama is able to destroy a mountain(surface), Ten tails Bijuu dama should be able to destroy the surface of any island.

All because of Oda not wanting the "good guys" to kill directly while needing Xebec to die for the story.
He had Xebec survive Roger & Garp attack and have the HKs kill him after the curse lifted.
The issue is that it makes characters Whitebeard look bad because if they stayed trying to understand what was going on (they didn't have to fight Xebec), Xebec would have been able to leave the island, but that wouldn't work with the story Oda had in mind.

Even if u dislike Boruto Ike was Kishi's chief assistant from the very beginning to the end. He absorbed prime Kishi writing, he absolutely clears that bum Oda at his best.
