Now that my emotions settled down, I would give it a generous 7.3 tbh.
Nana the character was good, Kyouya was good, Michiru was ok to good. The direction was above average and plot/theme execution was good to very good.
The other characters were bad to very bad, sound was nothing memorable, and animation was average.
However, I enjoyed it a lot nonetheless. I'm with you where ending S1 in that cliffhanger was facepalm worthy. We definitely needed more eps or a S2.
It's perfect to watch it with the bros as you said, extremely fun to watch.
I'm keeping my 8 score on it even though realistically it should be lower.

Michiru and Nana dynamic was the best imho. Like the concepts of the series presented early on were quite solid, the character dynamics became more interesting later down the line. Also building up the worldbuilding was fine, but with the cliffhanger and the idea that season 2 might be abandoned leaves a bit of a meh taste, as in that the production comittee fumbled or gambled on this series.
But imho it deserves a second season, that show had a solid momentuum for it, but probably they won't because of the niche studio.

Haven't got to Hayate yet. I stopped reading the manga after Nerima arc. Probably need to catch up but haven't got the time.
Yup. But this one is more unique and have better development than the usual banished trope.
I recommend you to watch The Wild Last Bost Appeared!
For me it's much better than: "So I am a spider, so what?"
It's not generic issekai, but it has a really interesting plot, mysteries, secrets, and it's pacing is much better than Spider. It didn't fall of, but each episode is just better the previous one. It has everything included: fights, comedy, plot, and worldbuilding.
Also, Wild Last Boss characters are great.
Venus - peak character, who is a master liar;
Libra - absolutely unpredictable android, who will always do things that you not expected;
Lufas- it's just best Angel with black wings;
For me it's much better than: "So I am a spider, so what?"

My theory about Venus
she's a goddess and not just a demon. Probably the one responsible for bringing the player into Lufas' body. Would make sense for her to know about photos and being able to use Exgate, which the player noted was a game mechanism and nothing more
Libra not remembering Dina is a red herring, as Dina cannot manipulate memories in inorganic life forms. So my bet is that "Dina" and "Venus" never existed but it was the Goddess who implanted memories on everyone. Ofc Lufas being as high level as she is, she can somewhat "resist" mental manipulation if someone points things out to her or if she finds discrepancies like in the last ep.
Every time we see the effect "static interference" which happened twice, one when Libra pointed out about Exgate and another about the photos, it's actually Lufas resisting the mental manipulation I think
