Roger being mentally burnt out by the world, especially after Gods Valley and what happened to Xebec, Roger having to put him down and the remorse on his face when he did it too, he was scarred, traumatised by that and I'd love to see more into that psyche of his especially with his rivalry with Shiki and also his beloved deep frenemy rivalry with Whitebeard ofc too.
Isn't it interesting when Big Mom and Kaido were taken down, their final thoughts involved Roger instead of Xebec? Same for Whitebeard? Although Xebec wasn't even known to any of us back at Marineford and pre TS ofc, or even for most of Post TS too.

Luffy never stood a chance. Thats why a whirlpool was near him at the beginning of the series too. He has the ship the Frying Dutchman (Lol Simpsons, I keep thinking its Spongebob who has that).
