Isn’t that too easy, and defeats the purpose of this ability? I’m pretty sure that we’ve also seen the gorosei get blown up and torn apart multiple times, and they seem to never care about defending.

Haki seemed to work on Domi Reversi. I feel like the sea king scene will be retconned into Shanks himself tearing his own arm with the use of strong acoc. Or maybe the tier one seal doesn’t hand out regen in the first place.

Good point, in the flashback with Kong, he had a hawaian shirt like Sakazuki, the only issue is that while Oda probably has an idea, the fact that we have never gotten an interaction between the two since the MF war, which was like 15 years ago, is a huge wasted opportunity, imo

Perhaps it has something to do with the seawater. Shanks swam in the sea while he lost his arm. Contact with the sea could hinder regeneration abilities like it does for devilfruits. Or would that be to complicated?

I agree otherwise blowing up the arm should be to easy to defeat the infinite healing hacks they have.
