I dont feel like im ignoring anything i for one think that shanks is a regular person. I don't think the immortality has a bearing on this regardless if he has it or not. With everything in the story about ur haki has to be greater than the opponent. I fail to see how the heck bb with arnament haki and no df manages to permanently scar a shanks who is on guard and more than likely defending/protecting his body with supreme king haki. Mind u bb blades are simply blades no black blades etc.
Zoro vs pica ended with thats assuming ur haki(arnament haki) is greater than mine.

It literally does? You’re only able to hurt immortals with CoC which is why Rox couldn’t be hurt while he was deactivating Garps and Roger’s CoC.
Shanks isn’t immortal he can be hurt by non CoC attacks. Blackbeard scarred shanks because Blackbeards a powerful individual who even with weaker haki was able to cut shanks. Just like Harald was able to do with Rox

Again this just seems like ur agenda that u want to push. U say im the one with agenda but im just going with what we are told in the manga... what's literally stopping shanks from using barrier haki. Just like luffy did to stop kaido kanabo. Or how zoro stopped king by infusing ryou and coc to push back king from stealing his swords. U have to jump through so many hoops to come to the conclusion that bb with weaker haki permanently scarred shanks
I’m not pushing anything. I’m quoting the manga here. Rox couldn’t only be hurt via CoC cause he was a DR Demon. Rox’ CoC was canceling out the others CoC hence they couldn’t hurt him. Despite Rox’ CoC being stronger Garp and Roger were still physically hitting Xebec and hurting him.
