Spoiler Spoilers Wodulo chapter 13: HOLY SH** I TOLD YOU I TOLD YOUUUU!!

u think we have yet to see the final villain ? ( the one who is controlling Dabura probably ? )
His sister is taken hostage, right? Doesn't mean thkse people are stronger than him, but probably have ways of stopping him from going havoc and killing them to save her.
Dabura walks a very utilitarian line. I think he's capable of doing the worst things for the wellbeing of his species, and depending on what sort of things those end up being, he could very easily become full evil.

He isn't moved by the want of being the strongest, like Sukuna, but he is putting his community over others, which, this being Japan, could actually be the characterization of a "good guy"
Yeah, he does do what he sees as right for his people. However he clearly has empathy and sympathy as we see from his interaction with Usami. Even if he turns "evil" it won't be chaotic evil like Sukuna and Mahito. He will only be "evil" due to his alien nature as oposed to the earthlings and due to his might and willingness to use it to improve his people's station (at the cost of earthlings).

In short: he won't be evil, just an antagonist there as a foil of ideals

This is getting interesting.

It was worth it to read first few chapters.
Suddenly, things seems to be moving too fast.
Having Dabura fight against them from the get go is good for hype, but we know how it turned out with Sukuna (at the end, Gege nerfed him).

I would have liked Dabura to have some commanders, to have more antagonists like other battle shonens.
But it is Gege's style, and it is clear who is writing this manga 😂

too fast ? i still think it's too slow comparing to the first 13 chapters of jjk but jjk was never about lore it was mostly fights and i think people walked into this expecting the same thing kinda, i jus like it cuz when a series ends i'm always left wondering how the life of the characters evolves and what happens in the verse once the story ends and i think it's kinda cool to have this large time skip with and actually get to see how the world in the jjk verse evolved

JJK was hella fast, even from the first chapter.

But from what I observed in JJK is that involving main villain early in the series, especially without allowing time for junior sorcerers to develop, is not good. It eventually leads to nerfing the villain at the end.

Does Yuka going against Dabura make you hyped for the upcoming fight? For me, no, it does not.
Did Gege allowed these young sorcerers to have tough battles so that they can gain experience? No, he did not.
It would have added more weight to the fights if we had seen Yuka beat Maru or Cross in training or in rivalry like defeating special grade curses, etc.

Im hyped because the fight will escalate things as they are essentially betting on who gets to keep tokyo lol

It's true, the manga moves at a fast, action-packed pace, and pitting Dabura directly against everyone else certainly creates a lot of excitement. It would be exciting to see more supporting characters or commanders to further deepen the world – as in other battle shōnen. Gege's style remains unmistakable: clear handwriting, focused protagonists and surprising twists. I'm curious to see how this develops. What has surprised you the most so far?

The fight wont end until one of them is dead.
And we know who is going to die.

...unless fight is postponed due to third party intervention. The main reason you/we are hyped for (Yuji) :hihihi:
