Let's think this through

2 stacks for targeting her

She can give 1 out per night (with her track)
or use a track without giving out rot

And Melkor gives out 1 rot each night.

Do we have Melkor's targets claimed?
Unless Melkor claimed to have targeted Polar, he should never be on 2 rot night 2.

So he must have shot her. That part should be correct.
