They had their own lives and dreams. Roger didn’t care enough to tell them about him, and instead left him in the care of Garp who was actually in the war and could’ve saved Ace.

Why would they do something that Ace’s own guardian wouldn’t?

Hell rocks did not even tell them about the world big bad who they would have to fight if he wanted to take over the world.
Not all pirates going go way to save these captain child .
Even more child grow up and have there won crew and was under one of the 4 strongest crews in the world .
Also depending on what going on with them why would they risk it.

Ace was save , garp bet on WB and luffy paid off until he got him self killed.
Ace was free and clear .
Plus ace is grow man if he listen to his guardian he won't have even be a pirate.
