The colorful spread from the last chapter is so metal, omg i love it.
But i wanted to draw your attention to something else.
I've touched on this topic before, but this is on a completely different level.

Why is the Barbel head the hallmark of the Rocks flag?
Now even the colors match, (gold/yellow).

After all, Rocks head has even more distinguishing features - hair, tattoos.

What's so important about Barbel that he became the trademark? and not the captain - as usual.

This can't be a coincidence - and i'd really like Oda to explain what's going on someday.

You think Barbell might be the burn scar man? Might work since the hair gives him a fiery motif and we don't know his true power so could be whirlpool related.

IMO, the flag was supposed to represent Xebec, either part of his design or of his power. Then Oda changed his mind, but the jolly roger was already canon, so he had Barbel have fire hair as a thin explanation.

Good eyes Neko ! That's probably another big foreshadowing, like with the One Piece Logo, the knot that is tied to the letter E for Emeth.

Goda playing 5d Chess with us.

I think the flag refers to the symbol on Luffy’s chest during his fight in the Davy Back Fight, considering that Rocks also took part in it.

Yeah, I think Xebec was supposed to be a fiery man originally. Either Oda altered that, or he truly is the Man Marked By Flames and his jolly will only become obvious in hindsight.
If the fiery skull is the symbol of the Davy clan, someone must've had a fiery power in the past.
Xebec didn't.
BB won't.
And Davy himself was cursed to live underwater.
Would a fire-man living underwater make sense?
