Honestly, Shanks fans should be hoping he does something dirty to beat Loki. At least I am. I’m actually gonna be pissed off if he beats Loki fair and square.
There’s literally no use hoping for a meaningless “Shanks agenda” when he’s been confirmed as inferior to Mihawk. Shanks agenda died that day itself. The one thing you guys should be hoping for is Oda to write him well at the very least.
I’m on my knees for Oda to write an inkling worth of stuff that doesn’t make him a generic Gary Stu who gets wanked every time he’s on screen. Remember the CORE value he gave to us in Chapter 1? Pirates don’t play fair. Write him as someone who’s determined to fulfil his goals regardless of what happens to his personal honour. Make him beat Loki in a dirty manner because beating him is the only thing that matters. Make him do questionable things in his time as a HK because all that matters is intel. WRITE HIM AS SOMEONE WHO IS WILLING TO GET HIS FUCKING HANDS DIRTY IF IT MEANS SAVING THE DAMN WORLD. Give him a LITTLE bit of moral conflict and complexity.
Absolutely nothing positive happens if he beats Loki fair and square. Loki’s hype is useless and he’s reduced to a hypetool. And the power levels in the series break yet again. Write something good for his character for once. Nobody cares if he gets slandered. I’d rather have a slandered character who’s well written rather than a generic gary stu who’s untouchable (and still somehow fucking weaker than his rival).
