Don't bring Ray into this. What Gaban does has nothing to do with Ray. From this chapter alone we can conclude Oda doesn't know anything about powerscaling but by portrayal alone we know for sure Zoro x3 Sanjis AP and likely same with Ray x3 AP vs Gaban.

Both have acoc. Ray has ID, gaben has FS

Who could have been equal to Mihawk. Maybe even superior if you want to take height scaling. Obviously it isn’t too reliant to gauge their current versions but it’d be cool symbolism if Shanks had potential to be above Mihawk but threw it away for Luffy. Which would explain why Mihawk was so disappointed in him.

So there is a reason why Sommers was scared of Gaban. They didn’t meet in God Valley but they did meet after, fair enough

So it isn’t confirmed that Loki’s fruit is Nidhogg at all…. I mean you could argue it’s implied but pretty much every zoan that people theorized it could be has claws so that isn’t really saying much LOL

So Harald can also use a passive CoC barrier that Gaban and Shanks can’t overcome. Very interesting

I wonder why we only see these guys use these skills while given the Imu buff. Is the theory that Imu buffs all of your abilities including your haki canon?

Also I don’t fully buy the Usopp-Ragnir theories but it would be typical Oda if he found some roundabout and funny way to have Usopp tame it without beating it in a fight

Even if he doesn’t “keep” it I could definitely see him using it once
