Town is usually 70-75% of the players, they are good guys. And are uninformed as in they dont know who is good or bad and are trying to determine that through talking to each other in the thread. The goal is indeed to vote out who you think could be a bad guy.
Bad guys know each other usually and their goal is to lie and deceive the good guys into thinking they are good guys too and to vote out good guys.

If his target that he lied about was town it wouldve resulted in a mislynch and then Alexis being lynched, thats bad behaviour. And shouldnt be condoned. I understand why he does it because he doesnt have the necessary thread control but you cant do that kind of stuff. Plus even if hes right its just putting the guy whos scum in a shitty position where he/she cant defend herself.
This is a game about convincing others and also a team game.
