@soupongo Just got to the Tenchi Bridge arc on my Naruto rewatch, and according to Lord Shimura, Sai is even stronger than Neji. Thoughts?

The statement is real, idk to what extent we should take it 100 percent seriously though. Danzo probably just heard that Naruto beat Neji and Gaara, though he wasn´t really above them. I don´t really remember Sai being particularly strong, but he could be above his ¨peers¨ generally, I guess.

He was supposed to be a replacement for Sasuke, but I don´t think he really resonated with the fans, so he was sort of semi dropped from the team? He, Yamato and Sasuke´s team are all a little odd on a re read, their plots don´t really go anywhere.
