Instead this idiot is still running whilst all the enemies get taken out. This fraud keeps teasing us and then let's us down and we go through the same cycle again.i want Sanji to actually fight to grow and progress but this guy wants to be some edgy mangaka not realising he's copying literally everybody before him.

You have to lower your expectations. This arc was guaranteed to be full Nika glazing when we found out the giants connection to the lore. And it's only starting. You should just wait for the scraps.

But the good thing is that Sommers is setup for Sanji so eventually he'll get some focus.

The bad thing is that Sommers is setup for Sanji. Dude has been getting clowned on for 38+ years.

Based on what I've seen in manga, it's possible that CoC has something to do with your bloodline - we have both Kaido and Yamato possess CoC, we have Garp and Luffy, we have Harald and Loki.... So yes, it is a stretch, but I wouldn't be surprised for Shamrock to be a hakiman.

He only came to the forefront once, and even then, he brought about his own downfall.

C'mon, I've re-read HxH earlier arcs recently. Gon isn't that bad. He is initially your typical shounen hero with "strong potential, needs training" vibe at first, but I actually loved his believable losses against Hisoka and nen users in the Tower, and then his growth. Gon is basically your Luffy without the plot armour.

Hxh works so well because Gon is not the only one who gets all the screen time

one piece has become the nika show now. Not even luffy show. Straight up a mythical pirate jesus nika show. Goofy's character has quite literally been absorbed by and evaporated by nika. And Nika is a bullshit retcon that oda only introduced like 4 years ago.

How pathetic and weak is the MCs character that it gets so easily absorbed and overshadowed by a retcon for his df?
25 years of goofy's character turned to shit for a mythical zoan retcon that has made the story way way worse.
