It ended near flawlessly tbh. The internet is just immature in general, most people are either kids or bots that want the MC to be surrounded by girls and make everyone bow down to him. It's probably their escape.

The uncomfortable truth is that most anime/manga’s don’t really have these GoT S8 trainwreck level endings that every series’s folk subreddits would have you believe. It’s just that those people are too invested in the series and have all these headcanons about how the series must end, and get hysterical whenever it deviates from how they envisioned the ending going. Even AoT’s ending wasn’t nearly as bad as r/titanfolk would have you believe
