Zoro needs to get his name known, beating someone like King and Lucci couldn't do it, but beating "Holy Knight Saint Sommers Shepherd" will finally put him on the map. Top swordsman like Vista and Mihawk might actually view him as a rival if he can beat Sommers.

This chapter confirmed Sommers> Sanji btw. Luffy wants Sommers to know Zoro's name, but he doesn't care that Sanji doesn't call Zoro by his name, implying Luffy holds Sommers in a higher regard then the cook.
