I believe Ragnir had better meaning for Loki than Mjollnir.
Since its written in Kanji too i believe Plus Loki had Lightning attack based on his DF, i can see Oda chose Ragnir than Mjollnir

Okay technically true, but Gamabunta matching a nerfed Shukaku is still a pretty good feat, and it's pretty clear the main 3 summons are supposed to be pretty powerful/reliable. I don't think Kisame has some matchup advantage here, Orochimaru, if anything, is capable of escape. As far as I know though, Kisame isn't immune to poison...

Yeah, but the Name meaning had Lightning esque ability, Oda's like to use hidden meaning.
Plus so far Ragnir didn't had the same ability with Mjollnir in Myth, which used as Boomerang etc. Loki used it just like regular hammer.

oda is saving jinbei for now and letting the weak crew like the cook to do some.

people are hating jinbei but they dont realize that jinbe gave us a clue that natural counter may work against them regen merchants.
"those vines have weakness to high temperature"

oda make sure that jinbe doesn't do anything so that oda could show us there are other ways that may work against them hk.

cook who is not a conqueror like jinbei and loki can hurt the regen merchant with his science powers and all now.
