@ZenZu @soupongo @EmperorKinyagi Oda can still redeem himself if he makes Blackbeard vs Kizaru an CG vs Sengoku and Tsuru happen.
Blackbeard will raid New MF and beat/kill Kizaru, who will be the only Admiral there. Xebec stated that one of the steps of his plan was crushing the Navy, and Xebec killed an Admiral, so BB killing an Admiral and destroying New MF would be a good parallel. This would also finally force Sakazuki to mobilize.
Sengoku and Tsuru going after CG would pay off Sengoku talking about how they must prioritize CG, and those two losing to Mihawk and Croc would be a good way to write them out of the story and give CG some much needed hype.
From there, we could have the following matchups for the SHs:
Luffy vs Fleet Admiral Sakazuki
Zoro vs Admiral Fujitora
Sanji vs Admiral Ryokugyu
7 SHs vs 7 Zodiac Vice Admirals

Ah thank god, I am suffering from yugioh player syndrome. We sometimes forget to read the whole text.
I can understand where you are coming from. I would like to see more real pirate adventures, and not the god of war.
But the World Building and Mysteries still keep me hooked, as well as the unique characters.
This dude is shocked that the main character isn’t popular anymore after he killed him with Gear 5 ?

@Monster Zoro's Tesla Supplier Assuming that Yamato joins before the SHs fight the Marines, which Marine would she get matched up with? Luffy vs Akainu and Zoro vs Fujitora is obvious. With Yamato in the crew, I think it will be Sanji vs Kizaru and Yamato vs Ryokugyu
She could fight Ryokugyu since they have beef from Wano, but Fuji and Ryo are kinda locked in to being Wings fights since they have a rivalry. Either Yamato fights Kizaru, Yamato fights whoever replaces Kizaru after he dies, or she fights some Zodiac VA (which would probably be far below her pay grade), or Oda is a clown and SHs vs Marines never happens.
As if Oda would humiliate Kizaru the way he did Kaido
Yamato is a neg diff to any Admiral
