I'm going to be unfortunately absent for a large chunk of today, due to real-life commitments, but I'm going to lay out my case against Orca so that people can judge for themselves whether they think my reasoning is sound.
Other than the fact that I have ISO'd Orca and been unable to find anything that makes me think he is approaching the game from a town POV, I believe Orca over-played his hand with a specific post, and I've quote the chain of posts for context.
Your timing is terrible. And possibly suspicious. But I'll think more on that in the morning.
Good night, game.
What makes it terrible in your view? Maybe more importantly who should it be on, Shuijing? Do you think Rej is town?
I think your timing is terrible because it comes after gingerbread unvotes and seriously reconsiders Juliet, and it looks like she won't be a wagon today. A fourth vote in support of her lynch would've been much more useful when there were three of us still voting her.
Shuijing? I made two posts analysing his ISO. You can find links to those posts just a very short way up the thread, where I replied to Polar Bear and also pinged Pot Goblin for his thoughts. We can talk about Rej after you've read my thoughts on Shuijng and we've discussed how those posts make you feel about that player.
Can you link the iso of Shuijing. Saw some posts you made referencing him and his thoughts, but maybe missed the one you are talking about. Either way you are confusing to read. Why would me playing with votes with 20 hours before night be terrible timing. There is still time for just about anything vote wise.
I voted Shuijing to make it a close vote between Rej and him to see what would happen when it was a close vote. After a while of nothing I jumped off. Making Rej the high vote. Then I think you pushed Rej up even more. Seems to me you were were worried that Rej became the high vote and then jumped on it yourself
My reasoning is this:
I said that Orca's vote was suspicious because he placed a vote on Juliet *after* gingerbread unvoted her and pinged both me and Polar suggesting we reconsider Juliet. In my mind, this was a potential attempt at getting a little packmate distancing in from scum-Orca on scum-Juliet after it seemed that the impetus for actually lynching her was waning, and I addressed this with Orca directly.
The fact that Orca was considering his vote with regards to how it would make him look on Shui/Rej, and completely ignoring what I was trying to engage with him about regarding Juliet, leads me to believe that he had awareness of Rej's alignment and was paranoid that I might be trying to pair him with a possible impending scum flip. In fact, I hadn't even considered his vote in relation to Shui/Reg because I had Juliet-vision at the time.
The bolded sentence in particular screams "I know Rej is scum and want to try to position my accuser to look worse".
Why would I be worried about Rej becoming the high vote when I was focused on Juliet? Why would I be worried that Rej is becoming the high vote, and then vote him myself when my Juliet push fails to go anywhere?
This heightened awareness of what people are doing in relation to Rej is what leads me to believe that Orca is playing from a scum perspective here.
(There is also the fact that he showed zero interest in actually finding my town-case on Shui despite the fact that I'd quoted it earlier and even pinged two other players with it. But that's mostly a bit of salt in the wound for me.)
