A Kisame one shot in the bloody mist or a Sasori one shot in the sand village would not be boring lol. Do you mean an Orochimaru one? Maybe, but I think you have a good potential with his last years in Konoha.
"wow i cant wait for sasori to spill blood of fodders on sand (something no one can do!) to be called sasori of the red sand and play with his barbie dolls having no friends!"
ass

We want to see gruesome ninja murders done by psychos who claim to have abandoned all pretenses of morality. Idk what the issue is, its what we were promised in the land of the waves.

Kakashi is cool, but he already is the most focused on character aside from Nardo and Sasuke. What´s the point in doing a one shot to rehash a character with more than enough screentime, as opposed to characters without it?

Did the idea ever occur that the author didnt make those characters more interesting because those were auxiliary characters he didnt give a fuck about in the first place and so any forced attempt would result into more sloppa?
wild thought

Yeah, but these side Naruto villains in the Akatsuki are some of the most iconic in anime for a reason. They did enough to last an impression on people, but Kishis writing left people wanting more.
You don´t have too much of an argument from me though. I don´t like sequels or spin offs in general. Naruto should have ended in 2014 and stayed that way

It sounds like your goal here is just getting a glorified filler episode tbh. There´s like 1000 side plots regarding Kakashi in the anime. The people want to tread new ground.
