Kaido was going toe to toe with G5. Even with Bajrang, Luffy was struggling a lot to just overpower him with 10%.

he was going toe to toe with 1hp G5 literally did every single of his strongest attacks and non of these attacks could kill a 1hp Luffy Momo was saying voice was fading...
then G5 was holding Kaido down and could have killed Kaido easily but had to wait for Momo to move the island so that Kaido had time to prepare his final attack too otherwise Luffy would have just blased him away.

G5 is teh most Durable silly character ever, he literally cant die beside maybe Top tiers strongest attacks wher Luffys attacks are just stronger

Imu going himself to Elbaf means only one thing: or he gonna defeat loki and luffy or he gonna be defeated

There is no other possible conclusion. If he was fighting only in gunko body there was a way to Oda end the arc without making imu or luffy/loki be defeated (like gunko)

To me the struggle between them at the end showed the real strength. I don't think there was big gap between them.
