Oda likes to retroactively make Luffy’s previous Gears useless trash after he gets a shiny new Gear.

G2/3 Luffy couldn’t even dent a single Cracker biscuit soldier for some reason, and a similar thing happened on Egghead with G4 Luffy vs Kizaru

This is only partially correct since Luffy used G2 and G3 A LOT against Kaido and it was successful.
Like he's clearly still comparable to emperor level fighters even without G4, yet he's not using this power against other enemies at all the moment G5 got introduced. To make things even worse, Bound Man was shown next to Hybrid Lucci, lol.

Furthermore, Luffy didn't even need to stay in his G5 transformation since Loki was the one defeating all the MMA monsters.
Seriously, this is so freaking stupid.

Since we only saw people get DR which have no DF power,contracts are a different thing i guess

So far the only real threat to G5 in a actually fight been Kaido and Kizaru.
Saturn was useless, the other Gorosei(except Warcury) been trashy.

Uh, no? We've seen how Snake Man got treated by Kizaru and Luffy immediately started using G5 to have a chance at catching Kizaru, lol.

Even then, Luffy struggled a lot to keep Kizaru's pace when this guy was already mentally occupied with the task to kill his best friend lol.
