the reason sabaody was "brave to do" as you put it, is because oda basically had the crew utterly and completely outmatched and wrecked. Every single crew member. Then he isolated goofy completely. The story went from the shp adventures to goofy desperately trying to rescue his brother alone, as a direct consequence of sabaody.
The fact that you are trying to portray sabaody as "not that bad" by saying no one died is exactly what's wrong with current one piece. Back then, oda could whip up real tension and stakes, even without resorting to killing anyone.
If oda makes imu come into elfab, wreck all of the shp and loki and splits them up like kuma did on sabaody, i will apologize to him and you. But you know he wont.
