It gets even worse when you factor in Kizaru likely wasn't even close to going as hard as Luffy was. Luffy was willing to turn himself into a raisin to keep up and all he had to show for it was a single attack with superficial damage and getting fed by his enemy.

whats worse is this was Kizaru’s point to stand out, every connection he had barring Sakazuki (who was sort of involved in the end) was there.

This Kizaru is going to be the only one we have to get this level of focus and attention and it ends with him being inconsequential as an opponent
