Other than blocking mihawks slash he has no feats whatsoever that scales him above Yamato
Imagine being a pirate for 30 years and still only have basic ass Haki meanwhile Yamato is one of the few people in the op world with advanced conquerors
Other than defensive capabilities Jozu df isn't on Yamato's level not only was her defense strong enough to block a head on thunder bagua she also has ice abilities including and ice breath that was able to match Kaido's bolo breath
Oh and that cover story fodder fight was completely off screen a few scratches mean nothing
If we're talking off screen fights Jozu couldn't even protect the allied captains from Weevil
