But even then whoever gets killed returns back 100% fine? So you need 2 rounds to kill half your enemies

why not just command them to march into the ocean?
You have a point tbh. I think it just comes down to Imu being a Doffy like character who enjoys being a puppet master. In his mind, having Nika and Nidhogg fight, and one of them killing eachother is like having Xebec kill Teach and Eris, or Harald kill his own people. It's a payment for their perceived sins against his government from his perspective.

Also, isn't it implied that Imu knew it was going to fail anyway? He was just going through the motions anyway.

If you like him that much you're really not gonna like the idea I have for his defeat :risisweat:
I really, really want Killingham to become a good guy.

We know Imu's powers literally remove the good from you. Look at Harald, one of the nicest dudes in the entire world, and he instantly becomes a monster.

I'm starting to wonder if Garling actually loved Magnolia, and Imu had to pump demon powers into Garling to get him to kill her. Like, Garling begged for Magnolia's life, but the curse took over, and he couldn't resist it.

I always wondered why Oda drew that scene in silhouette. It would be tragic if Garling was crying when he stabbed Magnolia, but his Will is corrupted and he couldn't physically resist murdering her.

I'd like this a lot
My idea for his defeat was Usopp trapping him in a plant similar to the Sinning Tree from Yu Yu Hakusho (this traps him in a small tree that constantly drains the life force from him, but since he can regenerate, he can never die, thus he's stuck in a tree that also makes him hallucinate and believe he's failing to KO his opponent for eternity)
