average fans don’t notice it, but the Sanji durability tangent is legit crazy… we literally had him dodge a barrage of laser against Queen, meanwhile Zoro was fighting for his dear life against just a single laser-like move, but the fandom didn’t want to eat that, so Oda made one of his biggest troll characters show an utterly shocked face (people don’t understand at what it means to have Kizaru make that face, man was trolling the WB, LITERALLY have Franky narrate at how ridiculous this is and now here we are where Zoro gets a small flame attack to his face, meanwhile Sanji gets a a kick, enhanced with flames that cause an gigantic explosion on Elbaf, which in itself already dwarfs other islands…

this is legit more excessive than the fanfictions some of the candybois wrote in 2017… how does a fandom get from the Vergo shin meme to this? Diabolical redemption

Imu kicks Sanji with black flames but the nuke explosion does not happen instantly I guess, otherwise Imu would be involved in the explosion too. Is the flame attached to Sanji while he was sent flying and hitting something makes it explode?

People legit still haven't grasped how big a deal and how intentional that scene was from Oda, he wanted maybe the biggest shock value panel in the entire manga's history when he drew Kizaru of all characters with that face. Kizaru is by far the most stoic character to ever exist in the manga, heck he looked like he was half asleep against Nika. So Oda wanted to shock the readers.
