This chapter is ultimate proof that if oda wanted, he would absolutely let them show strength like imu did in just one chapter, and still let the SH escape (they obviously not gonna die here)

This is not about hype tool, but build up overall. SH will be defeated by the Final Villain of the series. Final Saga was nothing else but build up for IMU:

I feel like people severely overestimate how much Oda actually wanks Zoro’s strength
While you could tell after the timeskip Oda was definitely alot more protective of Zoro to always make him look as badass as possible he was still comparable to Sanji lol
Man went out of his way to remind us that the monster trio was the same as ever
People forget that pre Wano pica was Zoro’s only real fight post timeskip and that shit was barely a fight with Pica being busy with other bullshit
People deadass used to believe that after pica Zoro was going to cut the birdcage and defeat Doflamingo while g4 ran out.
This is also back when Zoro just being able to use hardening for a few attacks was impressive all the while Luffy was spamming that shit
People love to mention roofpiece but prior to that Zoro was getting bitched by apoo in a 2v1, was bitched by kyoshiro, and was comparable to Killer while both were nerfed
Even the rooftop shit was lowkey ass because Zoro Kaido and even Linlin couldn’t stop jacking off a sword. Kaido deadass wanked oden and enma more than Zoro. I’d unironically argue rooftop Zoro while more “badass” is worse than Sanji’s cake piece. At least it was Sanji himself that was being respected and nlt
