It's a valid question though. What can Luffy reasonably achieve here to demonstrate superiority over Loki? There's no way Imu loses here, so Luffy can't amaze Loki by beating Imu or anything

Plus, in the flashback, Roger didn't really show superiority to his rivals either, so I don't think Elbaf is the time for that, the arc is clearly more about establishing Imu as the number 1 threat, and little else.
Oda can always make Luffy appear superior over Loki, for any reason, whenever he wants

Right now your favouritism for Loki has blinded you from the reality of the manga you'd be reading for so long. It's Nika Piece.

With G5, Luffy can pull anything out of his arse. Luffy literally went from getting one shot Koed by Kaido to make a looney toon out of him in the same arc.

And, here you are bringing egghead as a point of argument
Nikapiece ended in Wano....Luffy has done literally nothing noteworthy since then.... the only thing that he has done is lose grip on his powers

Because it was the latest arc we where in and Luffy looked un impressive of course I’m going to bring it up

This isn’t pre ts or the Luffy who got one shot by kaido version of luffy anymore

Luffy looking awful against Imus drones and having shitty ass stamina but then coming out of nowhere to suddenly look good against imu makes no sense

The only possible way I see this happening is if Luffys fruit is a natural counter

The only one who can beat me is me
In manga, anime, SBS and VC, always bet on Luffy.

Oda will never make an ally or another SH outshine Luffy in an arc - by the end of an arc I mean.

I would have considered putting money on Loki if he had villainous aura around him but he doesn't
It just goes to show you how badly in the rearview the old generation is. Roger is completely history.

Oda introduced a Luffy ally significantly stronger than Roger.
