Even EoS Sokka would get folded by any proficient bender. He might be able to take generic Fire Nation soldiers, but that’s about it. Even in the Piandao episode, it was emphasized that he couldn’t really keep up with him in a straight up sword fight, and had to use clever tactics to even the playing field

It´s more extreme in Usopps case because his gimmick was dropped 15ish years ago, and OP power levels go higher than Avatar

Oda literally introduced a villain as the king of 1 vs 1s just for their only *recorded* fight against a top tier to have been through a distraction because Oda couldn't let his samurai self insert goes down without an asterisk
One Piece and respect for villains don't go together.

Oda literally introduced a villain as the king of 1 vs 1s just for their only *recorded* fight against a top tier to have been through a distraction because Oda couldn't let his samurai self insert goes down without an asterisk
One Piece and respect for villains don't go together.

Imu´s done alright powerwise, he did stomp Rocks, but Oda struggled to write it, making Garling a punching bag as a comrpomise.

Larping ATLA is crazy work. You just didn’t understand Sokka’s whole character arc if you didn’t pick up that a core part of his character was learning that he doesn’t have to be a powerful fighter to be a valuable member of the team. EoS Sokka still gets no diffed by any member of the team. Even Suki would fold him

He’s no toph or Aang, but combat wise he was always a capable fighter since Kyoshi island. Even being the one to defeat Combustion Man, and defeating two Comet boosted Fire soldiers while holding a dangling toph.
