Imu is the leader of a heavily built-up and familiar enemy, the World Government.

Imu’s been relevant ever since the World Government was formally introduced, so since Jaya Arc lol. And the World Government has been the big bad throughout the story. Even Teach was a direct victim of Imu, the latter killed his dad and ruined his life.

And Teach loses aura every time he’s reintroduced lmfaooo

Both Teach and Imu have a real possibility of being the final villain but this is kinda silly when we have no idea what Maki is, the covenants are, and what exactly has kept Imu alive for almost a thousand years..

By that logic Teach already lost his aura by fighting Ace in the past. Or to make it more recent, against Bepo...

I'm 50/50 when it comes to Imu or BB being FVs but this argument doesn't make sense at all. Loki is someone who even makes old legends look bad in comparison. Struggling against him is not bad at all. People just wanna downplay Imu cuz they STILL underestimate Loki under the premise that he was captured by Shanks. We know NOTHING about how Loki was even captured in the first place.

Furthermore, his powers could even work like Yhwach and he's currently this "weak" since he's sharing all his powers to his subordinates. I mean, Imu takes a full Thorheim - an attack which would vaporize any mid sized island in this world - with some small barrier and took some minor damage to it. Loki's even wondering why Imu is so tough like that. He also managed to beat Zoro and Sanji with low end moves. Let's be clear: NO top tier would be capable to treat ZORO like that. Fujitora couldn't do it, Big Mom couldn't do it, Kaido couldn't do it and Nusjuro couldn't do it. Yet, Imu blocked Zoro's KING OF HELL SERPENT STYLE ONIGIRI with his freaking tail and took him out with 3 bullets. Imu's shown the bare minimum against characters who are inbetweeners. That's the crazy part.

We haven't even seen the form yet which ate Sabo's Firefist, the extremely huge one.

I had envisioned the Strawhats went to MarieJois to fight the bad guys, in this case Imu because Monkey King causes havoc in the heaven which is sort of reference. But now Imu comes down which completely change everything. That makes sense as MarieJois is not an island and the enemies setup are not on the same structure as other island does.

I feel like the final villains of the final saga are the Earth, Rain and Forest Gods who in this world are Akainu, Blackbeard and Imu and that Luffy will defeat them to unlock the secret final boss like in a video game which is the primordial demon “Mu” who’s soul was separated into three different entities - The Rain God, The Earth God and The Forest God.

So in a sense all 3 ARE the final villain mixed together
