General & Others One piece is only a best seller because it's long

Only reason why one piece became best selling is because it's long.

30 years and Oda can drag it for 10 more yers.

Ofc you gonna beat sales when it's that long

If op was as long as demon slayer, juju kaisen, MHA, like Oda originally planned, it would remain a completely forgettable comic. DS even sold in 4 years as much as one piece in 15 years

Reason why Oda even decided to drag it instead of end it and draw a new comic is because he has no clue what else to make and knows he would himself be forgettable as author and make something like boruto.

Oda can be praised for his stamina of doing this for decades but writing is shit

One Piece was best selling selling manga for 6 out of its 10 first years. In fact OP had more sales per volume in its earlier years than today

It was already bigger than bleach in America (much less the wider west) by Dressrosa.
No one checked for One Piece in the Early 2000s bro, it arguably became bigger than Bleach in the 2010s only. If it ended by 2015, no one even knows it ever existed over here, certainly not the younger kids.

Naruto was massive everywhere I went, anime fans or not lot of kids played the storm games worldwide. One Piece doesn't even have any popular video game franchise. It took forever for One Piece to break through and create something outside of the manga to even hit, with Netflix's LA.

This just in
More volumes = More sales

Of course that's how it works you dumbass
But also, conan, ippo, golgo 13 etc have as many volumes as mid piece but doesn't have as much sales. Means op was doing something right at least. Pre wano mid piece was pretty good. It only went to shit in wano.

And do not compare demon slayer sales. It just got extremely lucky at the right time. It's trash with a very well animated anime

It used to have more sales per volume than DBZ back in 2011 after Marineford. OP’s longevity has actually hurt it in some ways

OP is getting more sales due to FOMO and timing, if Naruto and Bleach were still a thing I think OP wouldn't get as much attention as it's getting now, it's like the only golden goose shitting bad turd and inside that turd there is gold
