Semi-Open Setup
Information about the setup of this game is partially revealed. This game contains exactly 7 Town-aligned players and 2 Mafia-aligned players. The exact power roles are determined by a 3x3 Grid System. Before the game begins, the Host will secretly roll one Letter (A, B, or C) and one Number (1, 2, or 3).

The Letter determines the exact composition of the Mafia team.

The Number dictates the intersecting Town Power Roles.

Row 2Town Jailkeeper & Town TrackerTown Jailkeeper & Town Friendly NeighborTown Jailkeeper & Vanilla Townie
Row 3Town Mason & Town MasonTown Tracker & Town DoctorTown Mason & Town Mason

This game will incorporate one mafia role from the top of a column, and two town roles from the row below it. The remaining six roles will always be filled in by one Mafia Goon and five Vanilla Townies.

Examples of what you might be playing:
- If A1 is rolled: The game contains a Mafia Roleblocker, a Mafia Goon, a Town Cop, a Town Doctor, and 5 Vanilla Townies.
- If C3 is rolled: The game contains 2 Mafia Goons, a Town Mason, a Town Mason, and 5 Vanilla Townies.

Rules:
  • Closed Communication: Once this game has started, players will not be allowed to discuss it outside of the game thread or during Night phases.
  • Day start: This game will begin with a Day phase.
  • Majority Lynch: A lynch will only occur in this game when more than half of the living players are voting for a single person.
  • Phase lengths- Each phase will last 15 minutes. If lynch cap is reached the day may end early. If all actions are sent in at night the night phase may end early. If need be I can extend the night phase.

Natural Action Resolution (NAR) Rules

This game uses Natural Action Resolution to resolve night actions.

The Golden Rule:
Apply actions which modify other actions before the actions they modify.

Applying the Golden Rule in Three Steps:
  1. Find an action such that its effect cannot possibly be modified by any other action.
  2. Resolve it.
  3. Repeat from step 1 until all actions are resolved.

Emergency Resolution Priority List:
If there is an action loop or conflict where actions directly affect each other (for example, two players roleblocking each other), resolve whichever of the conflicting actions comes first on this game-specific priority list:
  1. Block (Mafia Roleblocker, Town Jailkeeper)
  2. Protect (Town Doctor, Town Jailkeeper)
  3. Miscellaneous (Town Friendly Neighbor)
  4. Kill (Mafia Factional Kill)
  5. Inspect (Town Cop, Town Tracker, Mafia Rolecop)

The Catastrophic Rule:
In a situation where roleblocking roles (such as Mafia Roleblocker and Town Jailkeeper) target each other in a mutual roleblock, all actions from the involved players fail as there is a roleblocking paradox. This includes both the roleblocking actions themselves and any other actions (such as the Mafia factional kill) the involved players take.

Killing:
Killing doesn't stop the actions of the dead player. All kills happen simultaneously at the end of the night. This means a player who is killed will still successfully execute their action before flipping.

Roleblocking:
As a general rule, active abilities which players choose to use can be roleblocked. Passive abilities or communication channels (for example, Masons) cannot be roleblocked.
