HxH arcs:
- Hunter Exam: cool. fun initial interactions and character introductions. gives us lots to look forward to.
- Killua rescue: nothingburger arc that at least introduces us some cool characters with the zoldyck family but its filled with "aura farming" moments that dont actually add anything aside from looking cool scenes.
- The Heaven tower whatever. Now we start getting into Exposition x Exposition territory. If you manga looks like a book instead of a visual graphic, you don't know how to write it properly. Also, the "specialist" cathegory is basically a freepass for Togashi to come up with whatever absurd ability he deems cool "without breaking the system". First of many bs.
- Yorkshin(shew? idk): another "lets introduce a bunch of cool characters but they dont actually do anything aside from flexing on fodder, then we start deleting the only ones togashi cares to explore a little bit." Also it's an arc full of "i predicted your prediction" rumble. The whole sequence of Killua and Gon tailing Machi and Nobunaga is some next level retardation. We actually psychic now reading people's minds just because reasons. LMAO
- Greed Island: I like this arc a lot. I thought it was hella fun. Legit nothing to complain about it.
- Chimaera Ants: another "let's explore and immediately delete interesting characters just for shock value". The fights against the Royal Guards amounted to absolutely nothing. They didnt feel rewarding at all. It's an actual Hunter x Prey scenario, and the Hunters are treated like shit. At least we got some all-time meme worthy moments. Also, Meruem tries to look "mature" and "imposing", but he's legit a teenager edgelord by the end of the arc. Just because he falls in love doesn't make him a good character by default. Killua's usage of his electrical boosts was great. Killua has some of the cringiest BS shit ever in the story, but also some of the coolest. Best character by miles.
- Election arc: Now, to topple Killua from the "BS king" spot, we have 2 candidates. Mr. "look at me, i'm a happy manipulative psycho everyone dances in the palm of my hands" aizen-wannabe Pariston, and Mr "look at me, i'm a confident manipulative psycho everyone dances in the palm of my hands" Urahara-wannabe Ging.
Everyone is a retard. All the zodiacs are retards. Only these 2 are the special snowflakes. Aside from these 2 bozos, the cat-and-mouse part of Killua vs Illumi is great. Again, Killua carrying this shit. Alluka and Nanika are precious.
-Rest: Chrollo vs Hisoka is a very entertaining fight. Albeit majorly one sided because Hisoka got EXTREMELY outplayed by fighting in such a good scenario for Chrollo. Now Hisoka is on his mission to delete the rest of the troupe so we also don't get more cool moments with them, aside from them flexxing on random ants. KEK.
Dropped the whale arc. Too bored to remember all the random bozos names and powers and whatnot. Don't care. They are not interesting. Also, sry, but Kurapika doesn't have the necessary mojo to carry an arc by himself. Yorkshin was just him aura farming and creating this "masterbaiting" plan for 1 spooder. Then getting rekt by Hisoka's interference. Get rekt, bozo.
If I forgot any arc, that should tell you enough already of my opinion on it.
