Marineford Arc can only be surpassed by executing a well written Death of a Major character in an arc. Like a Law in Dressrosa or Yamato in Wano. If Oda could kill off those type of characters he would ascend as an author.

Imu knows Luffy's fruit, already fought against it in the past and knows its weakness against cuts, Kaido on the other hand has no weaknesses, not even against cutting attacks. Luffy getting pierced by a blade, which is said to be his weakness/cutting attack, meanwhile Kaido can still get up and keep fighting even after taking a sword scar bigger than Imu's whole body and still defeat Oden, that weak piercing from Imu would just make him laugh.

And you think that little sword is gonna stop Kaido? Kaido's just gonna laugh at him using those slow bat attacks that only cause explosions that would do 0 damage to Kaido

What Wimu does is different spheres of what Loden is capable of

Oden's attack left a scar on Kaido bigger than Imu's entire body, and he still managed to come back to fight and knock out Oden right after. That stab from Imu on Luffy, if we applied it to Kaido, would do even less than Oden's attack, it'd be like the Red Scabbards' attacks.

The question is, would you rather have Kaido tank all of Imu's attacks while carrying an island or not?
