I told people Luffy wasn't that much stronger than Kidd and Law, and they laughed at me.
I might be back to putting Law over Luffy in a 1v1. Law's very hard to hit, and he knows Luffy's weaknesses very well, and Luffy has WAY more weaknesses than Law.
Law's big issue would be Haki here, but, I think his speed/Fruit can make up for it, and we know Luffy is weak to slashes.
Oda was right to give them all 3 Billion, that's about where they are. Facing a serious 4 Billion Bounty Pirate, they'll get ruined in a 1v1, but they can hang with pretty much anyone for a bit, unless they get fully serious, like Shanks did.
There was just no one near Blackbeard or Shanks' level on Egghead for Luffy to fight.

But as old men they are still solidly>= admirals/yonkos once they have to get stabbed and nerfed even now before they can be defeated.
Gunko nerf Gaban, shiryu nerf Garp, whitebeard nerfed by one of his son.
Raleigh who has yet to be directly nerfed hasnt lost to admiral/yonko nor did we see him give his all yet.
The old gen can also temporarily fight above the admirals/yonkos for like 2 min if they give their all in 1 serious attack after rage boost like gaban in this chapter, whitebeard temporarily supressing akainu and garp sending kuzan flying no diff.

Sounds like Gaban’s clash with Imu just broke a branch. Loki’s clashes were seen across Elbaf, but let me see this ”damage” on Imu first before making a conclusion.
