Luffy is yonko level but luffy will always lose in the first round the question is how bad .
He could be PK level and Oda will find some fucking way for him to lose .
Near 30 years later he still with this shit no matter how strong luffy get .

I think this myth about Luffy not being stronger then Kaido is stupid. Luffy legit won..
He was also nerfed, barely could stand up, both been with their last strenght, Luffy power overpowered Kaido one. That is where Luffy surpassed him at his strongest.
Yes when they fought, Luffy was just a low diff battle but it changed rapidly during that battle.
Luffy got adv CoC> fought him to high diff before even using Awakening.
In Kaido eyes Luffy was very close to Oden with G4 Adv CoC. With awakening Luffy legit surpassed Kaido.
Think this, if the guy who was a low diff material for Kaido at the begin of the battle, imagine what would happen if he face Luffy with 100% health at the end of wano...
Luffy would win at least 8/10 fights against Kaido. Luffy is growing massive during a battle. People should stop saying Luffy is weaker, Luffy legit won. He defeated Kaido at his best. Unlike what Kid and Law did too Big Mom. That is also a reason why both got crushed by Shanks and Blackbeard yet Luffy survived Egghead.
Kizaru would cakewalk Law and Kid together. Add Zoro and Sanji and Kizaru would still murder them. Luffy only fight back on equal stand because he was stronger than Kaido.
If Luffy wasn't stronger, he could never fight Kizaru on equal stand.

In one piece world, Humans have limits.
They can't use more than One fruit. Haki can only reach a certain level, it can't grow endlessly.
Awakening is the stopping point of Fruits.
Black blade is the stopping point for a weapon.
And we were explicitly told that 'Haki reigns supreme'.
No 'more' amount of devil fruit will be helpful and betting against Haki when Haki was designed to counter Devil fruit.
Whitebeard, Roger are the perfect example for it.
Roger only had sword and Haki. Whitebeard had a supreme grade and haki, one of the strongest devil fruit in Paramacia class.
Yet they were nigh equal and Whitebeard was considered the strongest. But the gap was always minute.
Only exceptions being,
- Alternative to Haki, which is Maki currently. Imu already proved he is beyond Any Human limits.
- Alternative to one df, Either case like Blackbeard where he can eat twk DF, or Dual weilding like Loki.
- Weapons when anyone summon more than 10 swords in match with supreme grade level abilities.
- Or you're just satan and jesus of One piece world namely Nika or Imu. The chosen one troupe.
Power creep only exist for these individuals given their abnormalities. That's all, which is barely 3~4 people.
Other than that, Whitebeard, Kaidou, Mihawk and Zoro will reign supreme in their generation.
They are the peak of limits.
And as far as @kekaro and @Shikoku I know Sanji fans have a big pile of Dog Shit where human brain goes, I will still say it simply

-Both Killingham and Sommers got equal Omen boosts
-Both got legendary weapons
Omen boost of Killingham boost his DF Ability and ability to summon giant monsters
Omen boost made physical monster
Killingham with MMA = Yonko Level Killingham without MMA = YC1 level character
Sommers = Yonko level character
-Both Killingham and Sommers are equal on God Knights value
-Both Killingham and Sommers got equal Omen boosts
-Both got legendary weapons

See I'll make this simpler.
- Luffy in gear 5 has limitless potential given his own thinking is his biggest drawbacks. Haki is strong enough to be in yonkou tier as well.
But power is short lived,
- Luffy can't maintain Gear 5 for more than 5~10 minutes. Do you really see Kaidou going down in 5 minutes span?
- In egghead if it was Kizaru vs Kaidou, Do you see them ending the match in 10 minutes?
Or kizaru saying to kaidou that you should be reaching your limits?
That's why I call Luffy, Zoro, Law as intermidiatory top tier, they stuff in their arsenal to keep up with top tiers, but none of them entirely has what it takes to completely beat them.
