Okay on Imu vs Gaban conversation, Imu ask Gaban why Roger private would defend luffy. Gaban knew Imu want to kill luffy so badly, and explain reaosn that luffy is what everyone waiting for. Like chosen one guy.

The interesting part is Imu didn't even target luffy from start, didn't see joyboy in negative light. Luffy is one get involved fight with Imu with first punch.

Meanwhile Akainu chase luffy z tries to kill luffy before luffy even know this man's name. Akainu has deep rage hated on this guy. He doesn't need ancient lore to know luffy is Joy boy/Nika but see him as pirate or dragon son to be killed. Greenbull state akainu will be happy if he bring Luffy head which nome of gorosei stare about Imu personaly hire anyone to kill luffy like Warcury or Garlikg came to find and kill luffy.

They really are the ultimate foils though are they not?

The Gorosei and the Admirals both represent the ultimate soldiers of the WG, they both stand at the top of the WG hierarchy, the difference being the Gorosei completely sold their humanity to Satan while the Admirals still have their humanity, buried under WG propaganda but it is still there. When you view them this way, the Admirals really have to fight the Gorosei, they are perfect foils to one another.

See that's the role element, which I agree on.

My doubt is how much the Admirals themselves are foils to the Gorobros. Like characterwise.

Re: your posts I liked the Fuji/Akainu/Ryokugyu writeups...because it seemed that they were good contrasts. But Kuzan and Kizaru are pretty dubious to me.

Garling especially I don't know about from the Goro's side.

Dragon is declared as the Worst Criminal from the WG.
