Oda choosing to off screen Imus counter attack is actually pretty wild cause he had no issue showing Imu messing up the others, so why is oda hiding what Imu did to beat Gaban.

It's pretty good showcasing. Lighting wifi haki strikes and there's also a Mantis drawn in one of the panels.

At the end of the day- it appears Haki is what truly gonna be key in defeating Imu. G5 appears to be peak of his df, so Haki potential remains.

Probably a good balance of both

A lot of emphasis was placed on devil fruits this arc and I think Oda’s gonna remain consistent with that

The Nika and Nidhogg fruits were considered essential pieces to Rocks’ plan for a reason

Just like Luffy needed an incredibly high level of haki in conjunction with his awakening (G5) to put down Kaido

Now he needs to massively improve his haki while mastering the peak of his fruit

Imu wasn’t even focused on Gaban at all btw, it looked like he was trying to Stigma Luffy but got interrupted. Plus, spoilers implied that they clashed and Gaban overpowered Imu’s attack but Imu was just casually blocking him 🤣🤣🤣🤣
