I wonder why OP fans are so weird about letting theories go? I have 2 theories:
1. A lot of them are genuine larpers and don’t even realize that their theory as either been outright debunked by the manga, or been made highly implausible. A lot of them are also just genuinely autistic, so they just can’t pick up on the reasons why their theory makes no sense anymore. For example, with the Buggy being Rock’s son thing, why would Oda be holding off on that reveal when he just casually revealed BB being his son, which is obviously a much more important reveal than Buggy being his son? Also, for the theory to be true, we’d have to assume that Xebec cheated on Eris, which doesn’t really line up with his characterization at all since he loved Eris so much he stopping simping for Shakky because of her
2. They’ve spent years arguing for a certain theory and just can’t cope with it being disproven
Elbaf has honestly exposed just how schizophrenic the OP theorist community is tbh.

Elbaf has been the arc of schizo theories, but can we agree that the “Ryumor slayed John Elbaf and Onigashima is John Elbaf’s skull” theory reigns supreme? That theory was retarded since inception. I mean all you have to do is fucking look at the Onigashima skull to realize how stupid it is.
Onigashima has a humanoid skull, not a dragon skull. We know what Nidhogg’s head looks like thanks to Loki, so the Onigashima skull obviously can’t be the former Nidhogg full beast form.
It also can’t be the Hybrid form’s skull because we’ve seen an outline of its head shape in the Harald flashback, and it clearly doesn’t match. And Hybrid Loki’s skull is obviously nowhere near Onigashima sized.
You can’t even argue that John Elbaf was actually 100x larger than Loki, because we saw him standing next to Ratatoskr in that panel with Nika, and he’s only a few times larger than Ratatoskr, who is only like 3x taller than Jinbe
